What the pack contains

Five documents, personalised to your answers. Delivered as PDFs plus plain-text versions by email within minutes of checkout.

  • Functional Evidence Statement. The hero document. Your answers mapped to the 12 PIP activities in descriptor language. Every claim written against the four reliability limbs (safely, to an acceptable standard, repeatedly, in a reasonable time), with quantified-frequency language ("on around 5 days out of 7") rather than vague adverbs.
  • Medical records request letter to your GP. The free evidence route. Uses your UK GDPR right to a copy of your GP record so you can attach the relevant pages to your claim without paying a private specialist.
  • Targeted GP confirmation letter. A short letter asking your GP to confirm specific factual points on your record (diagnosis, medications, functional notes) rather than write a paid supporting letter.
  • Personalised 7-day functional diary template. Structured so a fluctuating pattern shows up clearly under Regulation 7's more-than-half-of-days rule.
  • What-to-send sheet. A one-page bundling guide using the focused-bundle principle: the smallest set of documents that carries the strongest signal, in the order a decision maker will read it.

Who it is for

  • New PIP claims. Attach the pack to your PIP2 form and post it alongside the questionnaire.
  • Planned award reviews. Use the pack to refresh the record where symptoms have progressed or a comorbidity is now on the picture.
  • Mandatory Reconsideration. Rewrite each disputed descriptor using the Functional Evidence Statement and the diary as attached evidence.

Works whether you have one condition or several, and whether or not you have a formal diagnosis on record. See our condition-specific PIP guides (ADHD, fibromyalgia, ME/CFS, Long Covid, PTSD, OCD, and more) for how the pack applies to your situation.

The honest evidence facts

  • Functional beats diagnosis. PIP is a functional test. A well-drafted Functional Evidence Statement is worth more than a diagnosis letter that does not say what you cannot do.
  • Medical records are free. Under UK GDPR you can request your full GP record at no charge, usually within 30 days. You do not have to pay for a private specialist letter.
  • The four reliability limbs. Under Regulation 4(2A), a task only counts as something you can do if you can do it safely, to an acceptable standard, repeatedly, and in a reasonable time. Write against all four.
  • The 50 per cent rule. Under Regulation 7, if a descriptor applies on more than half of days across a 12-month period, that descriptor scores.
  • The November 2026 four-point rule. New PIP claims made from November 2026 need at least one 4-point (or higher) descriptor to qualify for the Daily Living component. A scatter of 2-point scores no longer adds up on its own.

Frequently asked questions

What is in the pack?

Five personalised documents: (1) a Functional Evidence Statement mapped to the 12 PIP activities in descriptor language; (2) a medical records request letter to your GP (the free evidence route); (3) a targeted GP confirmation letter for specific factual points; (4) a personalised 7-day functional diary template; (5) a what-to-send sheet with the focused-bundle principle.

Who is this for?

New PIP claims, planned reviews and Mandatory Reconsiderations. The pack works whether you have one condition or several, and whether or not you have a formal diagnosis on record.

Does the pack guarantee an award?

No. Nothing about a PIP claim can be guaranteed; decisions are made by DWP. What the pack does is give you documents drafted against the descriptors and the reliability test, in the language decision makers respond to.

Is this benefits advice?

No. We provide general information and document drafting. For personal benefits advice, contact Citizens Advice, your local welfare rights service, or a legal advisor.

How long does the assessment take?

Around 3 minutes. You will not be asked to pay until you have seen your price.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. Klarna is offered at checkout for eligible UK payers. The full amount is £39.

Do you have to be diagnosed to claim PIP?

No. PIP is a functional test against 12 activities. A recorded diagnosis makes evidence stronger, but the legal test is functional impact.

What if I already sent my PIP2 form?

The pack still helps at review or MR stage. The Functional Evidence Statement can also be sent as additional evidence before a decision is made.
