What changed in our datasets
We hold three datasets, and each one is published as frozen, dated editions that we never rewrite. When a new edition arrives we keep the old one at its own address and derive the difference. This page is that difference in one place, newest first, so you can see exactly what moved, when, and which published file it came from.
Every figure behind these entries is an official published value, kept with its source, its edition and the date we read it. None of it is a prediction, and none of it describes any individual case.

6 recorded status changes across integrated care boards. 34 rows verified for the first time, which is a row we started checking rather than a row that moved.

May 2026 edition added
Compared with the April 2026 edition, 560 published median values differ and 1683 other published values differ. NHS England restates figures as well as adding months, so a difference can be a restatement rather than a movement in a queue.

How this page is built
Editions are append-only. Once an edition is published at its dated address we do not edit it, because it is the record of what the source said on that date. A revision from the publisher becomes a new edition, and the difference between the two is derived by comparing the files rather than by us restating anything.
For the Right to Choose register, a row verified for the first time is reported separately from a row that changed, because the only earlier entry we held was a placeholder saying we had not checked it yet. For the NHS England waiting times, a differing value can be a restatement by the publisher rather than a movement in a queue, and NHS trusts and independent-sector providers are published on separate sheets that are not comparable with one another. For the tribunals statistics, band wording is kept exactly as printed and provisional markers travel with the quarter.
